Summary:
• The U.S. Mission in Cairo/Egypt is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service office (APHIS). – The work schedule for this position is: Full Time – 40 hours per week. • Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

  Incumbent is working under the immediate supervision of 2 Animal Plant Health Inspection Services  (APHIS) and International Services (IS) Attachés, , manages administrative/budgetary/financial activities for the USDA APHIS Cairo Office and Northern Africa and Middle Eastern countries. Incumbent is responsible for core budget formulation, financial planning, budget execution and financial reporting in addition to inventory tracking, procurement of necessary items and services, and office administration.

Arabic (fluent speaking, reading and writing) is required.     SKILLS AND ABILITIES    Ability to develop and maintain a range of working contacts and some senior level contacts in governmental and private sector circles.
