• The U.S. Mission in Cairo/Egypt is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Information Management Assistant in the Information Resources Management Office.  The work schedule for this position is Full Time – 40 hours per week. • Start date:  Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

  The incumbent is responsible for:   1- Performing the complex tasks of developing automated systems deployment methodologies for operating systems as well as packages to deploy software across entire networks.   2- Deploying security patches throughout the Embassy onto all systems as well as monitoring overall network health taking appropriate action to mitigate vulnerabilities that can threaten network security.   3- Works closely and directly collaborates with all offices and agencies providing IT systems and network security.   4- Provides second-tier IT customer support and application training to users.

Requirements: EXPERIENCE:  Five (5) years of experience in similar complex IT environments.       JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must have a thorough knowledge of the latest computer networking, design, programming techniques, website, and database management fields, limitations of LAN hardware, configurations, switching devices, and systems software. Education Requirements: A Bachelor degree is required. Evaluations: LANGUAGE: Fluent writing/reading/speaking of English is required. (This will be tested).   Fluent writing/reading/speaking of Arabic is required.   SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must have sound analytical abilities and be able to obtain accurate information from users. Benefits:Agency Benefits: Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Cairo, Egypt may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.   For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources (HR) Office.   The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.   * IMPORTANT:  Applicants who claim status as a preference-eligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD-214 (“Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty”), equivalent documentation, or certification.  A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant.
