Regional MarketPlace (Procurement)

British Council is recruiting Regional Market Place (Procurement) Partner, MENA who will be responsible for day to day procurement activities of the MarketPlace, is responsible for line managing the Regional Market Place advisors and works under the supervision of the relevant Regional Market Place Manager.
1- Supplier contracts:
§ For regional and local spend categories:
§ Review spend data analysis and prepare spend reports for countries managed through the Market Place
§ Perform market analysis to test quality of suppliers available
§ Support the administrative side of contract tendering process, e.g., advertise the ITT to the market in an appropriate manner, setting up meetings between British Council and vendor, ensuring proper documentation has been completed and is filed for future reference
2- Procurement administration:
§ Run all P2P reports and resolve issues relating to open PO report, GR/IR reports, Late Payments, Blocked Invoices
§ Report on compliance with MarketPlace-country SLA
§ Run weekly late PO reports to determine whether sourcing was made prior to PO creation. Escalate all incidents of non-compliance to MarketPlace Manger for discussion with CD
3-New vendors & master data
§ Run the master data reports from SAP and follow up on all issues to ensure they are resolved
§ Maintain conflict of interest register
§ Review maintenance of the contracts database
§ Review country requests for new Approved Supplier List (ie, not tendered contracts) vendors, and challenge countries where a suitable preferred supplier exists
4-Supplier management process
§ Review and analyse supplier feedback reports prepared by the MarketPlace Advisors to support the quarterly contract relationship manager reviews with key vendors
5-MarketPlace compliance & performance measurement
§ Evaluate MarketPlace performance against agreed KPIs
§ Day to day line management of the MarketPlace Advisors based in the relevant MarketPlace
§ Day to day resolution of issues from the MarketPlace Advisors, referring to the MarketPlace Manager where necessary
University degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a relevant role.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and French for the Levant/ Mahgreb Cluster.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic for the Gulf Cluster.
