British Council Egypt is recruiting Deputy Country Exams Manager (Business Development) to drive business development of UK qualifications in Egypt, with a particular focus on the school and higher education sectors, increase recognition of British Council qualifications, negotiate exam delivery partnerships, and ensure development of integrated exam-training packages, ensure development and delivery of client and candidate value-added services, oversee and ensure highest-standards of delivery of Aptis exams.

Main Duties:

Business Development of the schools & higher education sector in Egypt:
· Own the Business Development Plan Egypt and its implementation in Egypt
· Plan and deliver a strategy to maintain satisfaction among existing attached schools through delivery of value added services under the Partner Schools Global Network (PSGN)
· Devise and deliver a sales plan to increase the percentage of pupils within each school choosing UK qualifications (CIE and Edexcel) , including a growth strategy for Checkpoint and Foundation
· Plan and deliver a growth strategy for IELTS and Aptis within schools & higher education; meeting or exceeding market share targets & B2B partnerships
· Negotiate partnership agreements with Egyptian universities in collaboration with the IELTS, Aptis and Professional Exams teams
· Work with the Head of Marketing to conduct research to understand, document and act on the needs of all stakeholders: candidates, parents, school coordinators, teachers, school owners, and through analysis of schools market results and trends identify and advise areas of required investment, administrative enhancements and focus.
Increase recognition of UK qualifications, and develop exam delivery partnerships and integrated client support:
· Devise and deliver a plan to grow the number of schools gaining IGCSE licenses as opposed to competitor international education systems, and the number of parents buying into UK school qualifications
· Work closely with the Heads of English & Marketing to produce a strategic plan for the growth of recognition, adoption and awareness of IELTS, Aptis and other UK Qualifications by government, employers, universities, colleges and schools
· Maintain a contact database and build relationships with key external contacts at a senior level in support of the plan
· Work with colleagues in the English and Education teams to ensure integrated online and offline preparation and support resources for IELTS and Aptis to ensure an end to end institutional client and test-taker experience
Financial and general management:
· Ensure contracts & invoices issues in line with British Council finance policy, with sufficient supporting documentation for all exams to facilitate reconciliations
· Manage delegated business development budgets, with monitoring and reporting according to the agreed timetable · Be financial and administrative signatory as per delegated authorities
· Deputise for Country Exams Manager where/when needed
· Participate in related projects initiated by the office management team
Oversee IELTS & Aptis exams administration:
Lead on ensuring high quality client service, including exam day activity.  Line management of the Business Development teams for Aptis/IELTS & Schools and as well as the IELTS & Professional Exams teams in Cairo & Alexandria

Post holder must have First degree, Business analysis leading to growth, Leading a business development or client relations team, Understanding & responding to customer needs
